This week has been mostly about the new novel idea. Plus I saw three films at the cinema. And had three zoom meetings. And I’m reading three books:
The Friday Afternoon Club by Griffin Dunne, which is gossipy, funny and sad so far.
I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom by Jason Pargin, which was apparently an instant bestseller, but I heard of it once, put it on my list and have never heard or seen anything about it since. Brilliant premise though. I’ve only read one chapter so far.
Fun Home by Alison Bechdel, which I’ve been meaning to read for years. But never did it once occur to me that the Fun in the title might be short for “funeral.”
Three is also the time that Noodles woke me this morning. She walked all over me. Purred a bit while making biscuits. Wandered up to my pillow to meow at me. Jumped up on my headboard and left.
