This is really just a housekeeping post; I don’t have anything to say…

So here are a few of my fave Substacks

Emma Straub’s newsletter is smart, breezy and frequently funny and she gives great book recs (unsurpringly since, along with being a bestselling author, she owns two Brooklyn bookstores):

Emma Straub's Newsletter

Bestselling novelist and bookstore owner Emma Straub has a lot to say, and this is where to read it.

Mel’s newsletter is always wise and wonderful with great recommendations and recipes:

it grows because you tend it

a monthly newsletter about what I'm writing, reading, doing, eating, and other assorted magics
By Melinda Salisbury

I love Kate Clayborn’s novels - if you haven’t read her, go grab Love Lettering or Georgie All Along right now - and I would read anything she writes:

kate, lately

what i'm reading, what i'm writing, what i'm thinking about
By kate clayborn

I’m always wanging on about Katie’s newsletter, but it’s just the absolute smartest and funniest writing about books and reading (and sometimes TV and Keanu Reeves):

Terrible at Titles

Terrible at Titles is a weekly letter from me to you. I write about things I’m reading, writing and watching. I make no promises.
By Katie Clapham

This description does not do Laura’s newsletter justice! It’s much less about her books and much more about living an authentic life. Plus funny:

Shaved Meats, Piled High

Blatant self-promotion for my novels because I never want to have a real job again. But, hey, it's only monthly and it's free.
By Laura Lippman

Oh and obviously I have to recommend my money newsletter:

The Ladybird Purse

Open and honest conversations about money for women, creatives, freelancers and more.
By Keris Stainton

Proper newsletter soon - as soon as I have something to talk about! Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you like the new format.

Love, Keris

Harry Styles on stage, seen from the back, wearing white pantss and a silver sequinned top, his arms outstretched. The crowd is in the background, out of focus,
Harry welcomes you too.
