These weekend posts, a glimpse behind the scenes as I write a new novel, are for paid subscribers. If you are a paid subscriber - thank you! I appreciate it. If not, I would love it if you would consider upgrading. It costs just over £1 a week (less if you go for an annual subscription!)
If you would like a paid sub but can’t afford one, email me and I’ll sort you out.
MONDAY
Started to write about Sam going to lunch with currently-named-Adam, but as soon as I mentioned Aunty Bea’s Mini, I went off on a tangent about the Minis she’d owned in the past and I remembered a time a few years ago the boys and I got a very fast lift in London in an open-top Mini with no seatbelts in the back.
I know I have a photo of it so I searched my photos for May 2019, and up popped this one, which I took because I wanted to put it in a book. I do love this kind of serendipity.
This is the one I was actually looking for. Joe “afraid for his life” apparently.

Added to the playlist: Atomic by Blondie. I have this on so many playlists. I just find the ‘Oh, your hair is beautiful’ line so sexy.

I’ve never seen anything like this before.”) and today I need to back it up and restore factory settings, but it’s not recognising the hard drive and Harry’s still asleep and waaah.
